This is a public-video tool. It does not use your TikTok login or open a private account on your behalf. The creator can change who may see or download a post, and TikTok’s own settings can control the app’s download feature. A copied link alone does not remove those limits or grant permission to reuse the clip. Save only videos you created or have authorization to keep. The video is delivered to your browser as an attachment when the source and relay can reach it. A link may be syntactically valid and still fail because the post has been deleted, limited by region, or changed by the creator. A full video URL usually includes a username and a numeric ID after /video/. Share links often use a short host and redirect to that full address. A tiktok.com/@name/photo/... address may match the current link detector, but this MP4 page is for videos. A photo carousel is not automatically a video file; if the resolver returns no video formats, do not keep retrying it as if it were a broken MP4. A profile link, a hashtag page, or a search result also lacks one stable video ID. Open the post itself and copy its own share URL. Short links can expire or change their destination, so open one in a normal browser if it fails and copy the final public video address.

The system resolves TikTok from the relay’s network because, in this project’s initial tests, a media URL obtained from one network was not reliably transferable from another. This is an implementation detail that matters when diagnosing a failure: a link that plays in your app may still be unavailable from the relay’s region. If the site reports a region or upstream error, switching quality will not necessarily fix the source restriction. Wait for the health check to recover or try another public post you are authorized to save.

Quality and watermark expectations

The MP4 result reflects formats available for this exact post. A creator may upload a low-resolution video, and the source may offer several encoded variants. The first button chooses the best eligible video up to 1080p; More formats lets you inspect smaller options. Picking a taller label cannot restore detail lost before upload. For a clip you plan to send over mobile data, a smaller file is often sufficient and will finish more reliably. When a size is unknown, the interface leaves it out rather than showing a misleading zero.

Do not assume this site strips a watermark. Some TikTok renditions have a visible watermark, some may not, and platform behavior can change. The current resolver does not promise a particular watermark state or alter the video frames after download. If you need an unwatermarked original of a clip you made, use your original camera file or your creator tools. Removing a watermark from someone else’s work can obscure attribution; this tool is for authorized copies, not a way to claim someone else’s video as your own.

The service caps an individual transfer at 2 GB and treats videos longer than one hour as unsupported for the current free workflow. A file may be unavailable because its estimated size exceeds that cap. The UI shows such a format with a reason so you can choose an allowed alternative if one exists. Audio-only MP3 is not active in this release. A TikTok sound can also be subject to separate music rights, so downloading the picture does not grant permission to reuse the track elsewhere.

What the downloader cannot access

Private-account posts, deleted videos, material that requires a login or entitlement, and live streams are outside the supported flow. Region restrictions can also prevent the relay from reaching a post even if it appears in your own app. The site does not ask you for account credentials, read private messages, or import TikTok cookies. Do not paste a restricted link expecting the tool to bypass the creator’s visibility choice.

Video download rights and viewing rights are distinct. TikTok’s settings let creators decide whether others can use its own download option. Even when a media URL is accessible, the copyright owner controls copying and reuse under applicable law. Credit in a caption does not by itself replace permission. Troubleshooting TikTok downloads

The short link is not recognized. Check that the address begins with an accepted TikTok host and has the complete path. Some messaging apps cut off trailing characters or add punctuation. Open the link in your browser and copy the resulting post URL. If it lands on a profile or a login prompt instead of a video, return to the original post and use Share again.

A post is visible in my app but the resolver says private or unavailable. Your app may be using a logged-in session that the anonymous relay does not have. The creator may have changed the audience, or the relay’s region may be restricted. Test whether the post is publicly visible in a private browser window without signing in. If not, the public-link downloader cannot reach it. It will not request your credentials to work around that limit.

The download has a watermark or unexpected quality. The site forwards a rendition made available by TikTok; it does not edit frames to guarantee a watermark-free result. Open More formats to compare eligible sizes and heights. A source post compressed before upload cannot be made sharper by choosing another container. For your own content, the camera original is the best source if you need a clean master file.

My phone opened the file but did not save it to Photos. Look in the browser’s Downloads view or device file manager. On iPhone, Files usually shows Safari downloads; moving a compatible MP4 to Photos is a separate action. On Android, a Downloads folder is common. If the transfer stopped, reconnect to a stable network and resolve the post again; a signed download URL is intentionally short-lived and cannot be shared with another browser.
