Save a video Pin as an MP4

Pinterest Pins can hold an image, a video, a description, and a destination link. This page is for a Pin that contains playable video, not for turning a photograph into a moving picture. The first download button favors the best eligible format up to 1080p. More formats shows any other options returned for that Pin, including disabled options with a size or duration reason. A Pin may have only one rendition. The interface does not invent a high-definition source when the publisher uploaded a small clip. Saving as MP4 changes how a file is delivered to your browser; it does not enlarge the source without quality loss. An estimated size appears only if the upstream metadata supports one.

For a Pin you created, your original upload is the most reliable master. A Pinterest viewer rendition may have been recompressed or modified by the platform. Pinterest’s help says creators can choose whether people may download their full-screen video Pins through Pinterest’s own controls. It also notes that those downloads may carry a username watermark. The detector rejects the address. Check that it contains a full /pin/ path on a recognized Pinterest host or a complete pin.it short path. A board URL, search page, or creator profile is not a Pin ID. Open the target Pin and copy its Share link. If a chat app wraps the short link in punctuation, paste only the address or open it and copy the final public Pin URL.

The page opens but no MP4 is listed. Verify that the Pin itself plays a video. A still photo may link to an external video article without containing video media. Mixed Pins can also expose several assets while this tool resolves one compatible video rendition. If it is your Pin, use the original uploaded file. If it belongs to someone else, do not use repeated attempts to work around visibility or creator controls.

The result is smaller or watermarked. The format list reports the public rendition available to the service. It cannot restore resolution lost before upload and does not promise to remove a username watermark. Try another listed format if one exists, but expect the visible source’s characteristics to remain. If you made the Pin, your source clip is preferable for editing or reposting elsewhere.

The MP4 was requested but is not in Photos. Browsers save attachments in their Downloads location. On iPhone, open Files and look in Downloads; moving a compatible MP4 to Photos is a separate device action. On desktop, check the browser’s selected folder.
